Nam Do San makes AI technology sound romantic, but hackathons are so much more than thatvia giphyStart-up takes place in South Korea’s fictional Silicon Valley, called Sandbox, and shows how people can get their start in the world of startup companies. The korean-drama kicks off when Dal-mi becomes the CEO of Do-san’s company during the hackathon titled “Sandbox.” A Hackathon is a major event where people meet to collaborate on computer programming projects. Some hackathons even have a theme. In “start-up” the protagonist, Seo Dal Mi, intends on pursuing her dream of becoming Korea’s Steve Jobs. Bae Suzy acts as Seo Dal Mi. She was recently in the korean drama Vegabond. Dal-Mi is an adventurer and wears her heart on her sleeves. She also has experience working part-time working at her grandmother’s store while she pursues her dream. Seo Dal Mi’s childhood lover is Nam Do San. Nam Joo Hyuk plays as Nam Do San and his recent korean drama was ``The School Nurse Files.” Nam Do San is the founder of Samsan Tech. He was once the pride of his family as a math genius, but for the past two years, he’s been going nowhere with his company’s investments. It turns out that Seo Dal Mi remembers him as her ‘cool first love’, and he decides to begin a startup in the hope of turning Seo Dal Mi’s misunderstanding into reality. Han Ji Pyung starts a startup company to pay off his debt to Seo Dal Mi’s grandmother for taking him in when he was an orphan. Pyung is portrayed by Kim Seon-ho. Han is a team leader at a company he owns, Pyung was given the nickname, “the Gordan Ramsay of investments”. He has a bit of a past and is nice to one person who took a chance on him when he was a homeless kid. Finally, there is CEO Won In Jae has everything society respects: the educational background, stunning, and comes from a prominent family. She considers her background as a weakness and tries to pretend it never happened. She used to be Dal-Mi’s sister before their parents got a divorce. However, she ends up being used and thrown away by her step-father, and in order to stop being a disposable piece on her step-father’s chess board, she throws herself into a startup. The korean-drama kicks off when Dal-mi becomes the CEO of Do-san’s company during the hackathon titled “Sandbox.” As someone who is a marketing team member for a non-profit organization called TechTogether, I can weigh in on what a hackathon is actually like in comparison to the drama.I became interested in coding when I had to learn how to do it for a summer job. It’s important for women to participate in hackathons just like it is shown in the korean drama. Here’s how the fictional hackathons are different from the real ones:
It is okay if you don’t have an idea of what you’re doing right away. In the korean drama Nam Do San and his crew have an idea but it is later changed as the show goes on to something else which is probably one of the most accurate things the show got about hackathons. This isn’t a jab at the show - I actually love the show but as someone who is involved with planning a hackathon I think these are things you should be aware of. The important thing is to have fun and to socialize with other coders. You’ll learn a lot about programming and hackathons by attending events. If you’d like to learn how to code try this site. You can also find tutorials on YouTube. Furthemore, if you would like to join a virtual hackathon, sign up here. I’m a huge fan of the show and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. I also hope it gets more people interested in coding!

“A story about a man, Moon Kang-Tae (Kim Soo-Hyun) employed in a psychiatric ward and a woman, Ko Moon-young, (Seo Yea-Ji) with an antisocial personality disorder, who is a popular writer of children’s books. A story about a man who denies love and a woman who doesn’t know love defy fate and fall in love, finding their souls and identities in the process.” SpoilersTHIS CAST WAS INCREDIBLE!! IF you haven't already seen this drama, you should. I was a little nervous about how they would portray the kid with autism but everything was done really well. I think my only complaint is that some of the medical things that were mentioned were incorrect. However, the plot and the character developments is enough to keep you going , I generally wait until the show finish airing because I'm impatient and want to finish it in one go. Moving on, this had so many great moments. I loved that it showed unrequited love using the side characters, the social anxiety the protagonist goes through, and everything like that. I absolutely adored the plot twists. I only saw one of them coming, so I was really happy that a k-drama managed to surprise me in the best way possible. When you watch a lot of k-dramas, you get this sense of who the actors/actresses are and the kinds of roles they play. Once in awhile, there's a masterpiece like this where you're mind-blown by everything that happens. I was also fascinated by the graphics and the soundtrack for this show. my ratingOverall, I honestly enjoyed this drama and I was hooked on it from episode one all the way to the end. There wasn't a single moment where I was bored! If you want a k-drama that has a Tim Burton take on it, then this is for you! I think you'd like it even if that's normally not something you'd watch.
This is about an unusual romance between two people who help to heal each other's emotional trauma. It stars Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Ye-ji. Kim Soo-Hyun plays Moon Kang-Tae: a calm, caring, and considerate employee at a psychiatric ward. Part of his job includes writing down the patients' conditions and dealing with unexpected situations like if a patient decides to escape the ward. He earns roughly 1.8 million won which ia $1,600 USD monthly. Seo Ye-ji plays a woman who's a famous children's writer with a social disorder that is typically seen by others as being rude. So, to start off I've only seen the first eight episodes and I can't wait to see how this unfolds!! This drama tackles a lot of hard-hitting topics and will still surprise you! It's been awhile since a korean-drama has surprised me (you can guess how many I've seen) so this was a pleasant surprise. I HIGHLY recommend watching it. Especially if you were a fan of Itaewon Class! Like most korean-dramas, the side characters are just as loveable and quirky as the main leads. My favorite one so far is Kim Mi-Kyoung who is portrayed by Kang Soon-Duk. You might remember her from The Heirs and Healer! I also love the characters Park Gyu-Young and Kim Joo-Hun! I adore their banter and the way you can see Kim Joo-Hun does care a lot about Park Gyu-Young despite the fact that Park tells her mother, Kim Mi-Kyoung how horrible he is. Even her mother sensed something more would happen between the two. This was the spoiler-free version and once this show is done airing I'll be doing a complete review on my thoughts throughout the show! If you'd like to stay updated, feel free to follow the blog! What are your thoughts so far? (episodes 1-7) . Got a K-drama you'd like me to review ? Leave your suggestions in the comments! |
